Portfolio websites

First portfolio website http://okdesigns.net/index.html
The strength of this design website is its creativity. The designer combines many elements into a dynamic unified composition. The use of elegant curves and lines as well as red and green colored shapes on the foreground create movemet and dynamism. Although many elements are combined together, the webpage doesn't seem too crowded. Color unity might be one of the reasons for that.
Although, the three-dimensional geometric shapes seem out of place at first, they add depth to the design. There are some other elements that might seem disconnected from others. The way the designer uses the clock to represent the letter "O", one of her initials, also seems unclear at first. Over all, the idea is unique and creative.
Second portfolio website http://www.kenart.net/
I like the clarity and simplicity of the design. The design elements spill over the margins, which makes the margins become a part of the design. Monotonous grey background doesn't distract the viewers attention and makes the images seem more bright and colorful. In fact, it helps to attract more attention to the elements of the portfolio, and that's what the portfolio website serves for. Over all, the design is clean cut, and layout is simple. Dull colors serve as a good background for colorful images.
